Janelle Monáe continues to blow my mind. Sure she may talk about androids a whole lot, but no one can deny that she is incredibly talented. Hell, she embodies the word talent. Janelle Monáe – Tightrope (Feat. Big Boi)

I fell completely in love with Janelle Monáe last year. ‘Sincerely Jane’ blew me away and I spent many an evening listening to it on repeat (and forcing others to listen to do the same).

Janelle is BACK, and no less impressively. This track, a collaboration with Big Boi, is the first single from her upcoming album Metropolis Suites II & III: The ArchAndroid, the follow-up to 2007’s Metropolis Suite I of IV: The Chase which contained ‘Sincerely Jane’. Other artists appearing on the new album include Saul Williams, Deep Cotton, the Wondaland Arch Orchestra, and none other than Of Montreal. Expect big things.

Metropolis Suites II & III: The ArchAndroid is set to be released May 18th.
