Herzog – Search [Updated]

Herzog are my favourite artist of the week. Although ‘they’ are actually just musician Nick Tolar (with Dave McHenry, Brian Hill, Dan Price and Dave Rich currently joining him for live shows). Physical copies are available from August 12th via Pure Groove (pre-order here), with the digital version available to buy here on Bandcamp. You can stream it via the Soundcloud player below:
Fanzine

Fanzine are a London band who are playing a date with Cymbals Eat Guitars, and from their MySpace, appear to be friends with the previously mentioned Yuck. There are only 2 songs on their page, but both are quite lovely. Like Yuck, they have an air of the early 90s about them, a gritty yet relaxed feel to their songs. Check out ‘Susan’ and ‘The Beetle Song’ here.

Either way, a how to link in aline-up that included Wild Beasts, Blood Red Shoes and Beach House was not something I wanted to miss. So off I trotted to buy my ticket and wait for the 31st to come around… « Read the rest of this entry »
